Happy Tuesday
everyone!
To kick off this
week I’ve decided to share my first style posts! Blogging about fashion and
style has been something I have been thinking about for a while and am so excited
to share it with all of you. Some of my favorite blogs that I follow have to do
with fashion and I’m so happy to start contributing to that side of the
blogging world.
What first drew
me to the fashion and style side of blogging was the photography. I am a huge
admirer of fashion photography and think it is so creative. Each picture tells
a story and transports you to another place, just like every outfit a person
wears tells you a little bit about them and what they’re feeling. Everyone’s
style is unique and is an expression of who they are and how they want to be
seen. It is a magical thing because just by putting on a different outfit or changing
your dress you can feel like a completely different person. I feel that by
sharing my style with you all I’ll be sharing a little bit more of myself!
Thus, for my
first style post I’m sharing my go-to everyday look. This Old Navy flower dress
is my summer staple! I’ve literally worn it at least once a week for the past
three month because it’s just so comfortable!
(Similar Dress: Old Navy)
I also don’t go
anywhere with out my Sam Edelman sandals. These guys have gotten me around the
world for two years and never let me down. Most people always look at my feet
when I’m wearing these sandals (which is everyday to be honest) and ask me if
my feet hurt or do they have enough support, and my answer is always no, my feet never hurt, and yes, they have a great deal of support. Yes
they do, like no other sandal I’ve had before!
Turning to my
everyday accessories I have two favorites. One is my Links of London silver charm
bracelet with a heart charm that was a gift for my 17th birthday.
Anyone who knows me knows that it is a part of me and I don’t go anywhere
without it. I even went though a phase for a few weeks were I would wear it to
sleep (I’ve grown out of that now and it lives on my bed side table at night
haha). I love this bracelet because it is light, delicate and elegant. It can
be dressed up and worn to a fancy event such as a wedding or worn everyday in a
causal setting paired with some jeans.
Number two of my
everyday accessories is my blue opal Nikki Hamsa necklace from The Neshama
Project. I fell in love with this necklace the instant I saw someone else
wearing it in the street and had to ask them wear they got it. The blue opal,
although synthetically made, glows and brings out the light it you. A Hamsa is
a hand symbol and keeps away the evil spirits. Easy to pair with every outfit,
I’ve been wearing mine nonstop. In addition, I love what The Neshama Project stands for, promoting whole body, mind, and soul healing and the soulful journey. If you haven't heard of them I highly recommend you check them out!
I hope you all
enjoyed this first style post! What’s you’re favorite everyday piece?
Don’t forget to
subscribe and let me know what you think, I’d really appreciate it!
